Privacy policy.

Last updated October 18, 2026. Draft for review.

Who we are

This website, citeseeing.ai, is operated by Citeseeing (the "controller" under the EU General Data Protection Regulation).

For anything in this policy, write to [email protected].

What we collect

Enquiry form. When you schedule a call we collect your name, organization, the type of organization you represent, your work email, your message, and whether you ticked the product news box.

Email. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you send.

Analytics. If, and only if, you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects usage data such as the pages you visit, approximate location derived from your IP address, and device and browser information, using cookies and similar identifiers.

Hosting logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes IP addresses and request data to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

We collect nothing else. The site has no accounts and sells nothing online.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry and arrange the call you asked for (GDPR Article 6(1)(b), steps at your request before a contract).

To send occasional product news, only if you ticked the box (Article 6(1)(a), consent). You can withdraw at any time by emailing us or using the unsubscribe link in any mailing.

To understand how the site is used, only if you accepted analytics cookies (Article 6(1)(a), consent).

To run and secure the website (Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in a working, safe site).

Cookies and analytics

The site sets no analytics cookies until you choose Accept in the cookie banner. If you choose Reject, or make no choice, Google Analytics does not load and no analytics cookies are set.

Your choice is stored in your browser, not on our servers. You can change it at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as Reject.

Who processes it for us

Formspree, Inc. (USA) delivers enquiry form submissions to our inbox.

Google LLC (USA) provides Google Analytics, only after you accept analytics cookies.

Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) hosts the website and routes our email.

Each acts as a processor under a data processing agreement. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone else except where the law requires.

International transfers

The processors above are US companies, so your data can be transferred outside the EU and EEA. These transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, with supplementary measures where needed.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and the email exchange around them: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted unless we are working together.

Product news list: until you unsubscribe or we close the list.

Analytics data: up to 14 months, the retention period set in Google Analytics.

Hosting logs: kept briefly by Cloudflare for security, per its policies.

Your rights (GDPR)

You can ask for access to your data, a copy of it, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing rests on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting what happened before.

To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We reply within one month.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority, in the EU country where you live, work, or where you believe a breach happened.

California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

Categories we collect: identifiers (name, email, organization), the contents of your message, and, with your consent, internet activity (analytics data as described above). We collect them directly from you or your browser, for the purposes listed in "Why we use it".

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the preceding 12 months.

California residents can request to know, correct, or delete their personal information, and will not be discriminated against for doing so. Email [email protected]; we verify requests by replying to the email address the data is linked to. An authorized agent can act for you with written permission.

We honor the Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out.
